Free Firewall Solutions

All of the below firewalls are free, but their big brothers with added features and/or protection will cost you money. Each are watered down version of the paid version. Each has their own set of limitations, but for the most part, they are free for personal use.

 Personally, I prefer SyGate Personal Firewall. It's unobtrusive and has proven to be the least quirky of the bunch I've tried. It may not be the prettiest, but if it's looks you're after, well, then get ZoneAlarm. I'll leave it at that!
