If you're looking for a free way to restore files even after emptying the Recycle Bin in Windows, Restoration may be the answer. You can restore files from floppy disks, Zip Disks, Media cards, and whatever else you can get it to work on.

During my testing, I was even able to restore images deleted from my CompactFlash card. I didn't have as much success restoring after a format, but I was able to recover about 25% of the images.

Both of the above tests were performed using a 64 MB card using Lexar Media card reader/writer.
